The “Giving to Live” 5K
The “Giving to Live” 5K is a non-competitive, community-centered event that has historically taken place at scenic locations like Almaden Lake Park in San Jose, California. The course follows the Los Alamitos Creek Trail, offering participants a serene environment to honor the strength and resilience of those affected by cancer. Proceeds from the event directly support cancer patients in the Greater Bay Area, Sacramento’s Elk Grove Park in Elk Grove CA
FYMO was founded by Tiffany Mays in memory of her mother, who passed away from a rare form of cancer in 2009
Since then, the organization has been committed to promoting healthy living and the importance of early cancer detection, aiming to improve the quality of life for cancer patients in the community.thesanjoseblog.com
